Pre-flight Preparation

• Judge Environmental Obstacles. Scan the mission area for obstacles and set RTH altitude at least 50ft above the tallest one (if able) while also observing maximum regulatory altitude ceilings.
• Program RTH. Verify that RTH parameters are correctly updated for your flight’s needs in the control application for your sUAS.

Emergency Response

1. Activate RTH
2. Verbally announce “Approach to Land”
3. Monitor approach airspace and landing zones for encroachment; divert as necessary
4. Remain ready to take manual control if automated return is inaccurate
5. Safely land the aircraft
