Cloud Processing Options


The following options involve upload of images to a cloud destination. Then, servers running in the cloud take care of processing and assembling the maps and models.

Drone Deploy

  1. Get an account.

    1. Sign up for Drone Deploy's 14 day free trial (HERE).

      Wait to sign up until you are close to relevant training days.

  2. Processing Allowances.

    1. Very high. You won't hit the limit.
  3. Training.

    1. Go to O-5006 — Prepare an Orthomosaic Image Utilizing Orthomosaic Image Processing Software
    2. Read through mapping principles. Review instructions on how to use Drone Deploy for creating and sharing maps.
  4. Images.

    1. Bring your own images to upload; or,
    2. Use the available DJI, Wingtra, or X10D datasets below

  2. Processing Allowances.
    1. Unlimited map processing.
    2. Maximum source imagery storage of 2GB, meaning you can’t upload more than 2GB of total images for processing.
  3. Training.
    1. Go to (https://learn.mapnova.com/ortho) to learn how to use Nova Maps
  4. Images.
    1. Bring your own images to upload; or,
    2. Use the available DJI, Wingtra, or X10D datasets below. All linked datasets are under 2GB.
