| Precipitation | Not prohibited from flying in precipitation. Determined by drone; can it fly in rain? More importantly, is your visibility still 3SM in the rain? |
2. Obtain Weather (WX) Forecast
2.1 - Low Tech
- Look out the window and see conditions for yourself.
- Watch the local news for a forecast and color commentary.
- Grab a newspaper and bring it along.
2.2 - Weather Forecast Apps
There are many software options CAP members use to generate weather forecasts. Manned Pilots commonly have Foreflight installed on an iPad and that’s more than enough. If you already have a technique in place, great! If you need suggestions on apps to use, read on.
